Qual-Pro installs conformal coating equipment enabling one day turnaround of customer orders

LOS ANGELES, CA – March 4, 2012 – Qual-Pro Corporation, an industry leading electronics manufacturing service provider for high-reliability, mission-critical electronics, today announced that the company has installed conformal coating equipment.  A dedicated engineering team with decades of electronics manufacturing experience supports the conformal coating function.

The conformal coating system, made by PVA, combines a 650 selective coating dispensing unit with an IR2000 infrared heat curing chamber to enable automated application of polyurethane and acrylic chemistries which are then automatically conveyed into an accelerated curing oven. Cycle times have been reduced from five days down to one day.  The system is capable of supporting fine pitch applications with precise control, including selective or full coverage with no over-spray.
